Customers can handle a payment choice. What they should not have to handle is a surprise.
This update gives Local Business Pro teams a clearer way to present configured payment-pricing choices across supported settings, documents, and checkout surfaces. It includes a provider-neutral Card Pricing policy for standard versus cash/ACH pricing, plus a separate eligible Stripe surcharge flow that uses an authoritative quote and customer acknowledgment.
Card Pricing and surcharge are not the same rule
Card Pricing lets a business configure a consistent standard price and a cash/ACH price in the supported places where that choice needs to be explained. A Stripe surcharge is separate: eligible Stripe checkout flows obtain the fee from a server-authoritative quote and capture the customer’s acknowledgment before payment is completed.
The front end is not inventing a fee, and the customer sees the relevant total before making the choice.
Keep the document and checkout in the same story
Payment friction begins when an estimate, invoice, and checkout page tell different stories. This update carries the selected policy across supported payment surfaces so the office and customer are looking at the same commercial decision.
An HVAC office can make a configured card or cash/ACH choice understandable before a customer pays. A plumbing team can explain the amount from the same policy shown on the invoice. That is transparency, not a mandate to price every payment method differently.
Availability depends on the supported provider, connected account, payment method, selected policy, and applicable business requirements. Local Business Pro can make a configured choice clearer; it does not decide a business’s pricing policy or compliance obligations.
Configuration is not legal advice
Card Pricing and surcharge settings are product configuration, not legal, tax, processor, or compliance advice. A business remains responsible for deciding whether a pricing policy is appropriate for its processor relationship, payment method, customer communication, and applicable rules. Confirm the policy with the right processor, advisor, or counsel before enabling it. The software can display a supported configured choice consistently; it cannot make that business decision for you.

Frequently asked questions
Is Card Pricing the same as a Stripe surcharge?
No. Card Pricing is a provider-neutral standard versus cash/ACH policy. A Stripe surcharge is a separate eligible Stripe checkout flow with its own quote and acknowledgment behavior.
Will every business see every pricing option?
No. The available options depend on the business’s configuration and supported provider, account, and payment method.
