Contact data is where an operation either gets faster or gets expensive. One malformed file, lost header grouping, or unclear conversation lead can send a team back into manual detective work.

This release strengthens both sides of that workflow: supported CSV and XLSX contact imports receive stricter format handling and recoverable queued processing, while conversation Lead Details can open the resolved contact directly.

More careful handling of the files teams actually receive

Contact imports now handle supported source files with stronger attention to grouped headers, canonical file handling, strict parsing, and Unicode. Those details matter when a customer’s name, address, or source column would otherwise arrive in the wrong shape.

The objective is not to declare every spreadsheet clean. It is to catch incompatible or unclear input sooner and preserve the context needed for an operator to review it.

A queue that can be understood after the browser closes

Large contact files should not depend on one browser tab staying open. Safer polling and queued-job recovery let the office return to an import and understand where it stands.

Recovery does not mean blindly replaying every interrupted job. It gives the team a controlled path to inspect the prior state, determine whether the source or decision needs attention, and continue through the supported workflow.

The Import & Export workspace provides the broader process; the FieldPulse workflow shows how source-aware review extends to a multi-file provider export.

For practical troubleshooting, use contact import help, resolve duplicate contacts deliberately, and review adding customers when the right next step is a clean new record rather than another import attempt.

Get to the right record faster

When a conversation has a resolved contact, Lead Details now provides a direct path to that record. It removes a common detour: read the conversation, search the CRM again, and hope the next click opens the same person.

Frequently asked questions

Do these improvements guarantee every spreadsheet will work?

No. Supported files still need compatible structure and valid data. The update makes format handling and review more reliable; it does not promise lossless conversion of every source.

What does the conversation contact link do?

It opens the resolved contact directly from conversation Lead Details when that context is available.
