Configuring Your Local Business Pro Chat and Phone System

This section allows you to configure your chat and phone setup, including:

  • Purchasing or selecting your Local Business Pro (LBP) AI receptionist’s phone number
  • Choosing how calls are handled (e.g., connecting directly to the AI or forwarding to a live number first)
  • Embedding the Local Business Pro chat widget on your website

Receptionist's Phone Logic

Receptionist’s Number:

If you already have one, you will see your ‘Receptionist’s Number’ when you go to
Connect > Chat & Phone Setup, then Receptionist’s Number under The Receptionist’s Phone Logic.

However, if you don’t have a receptionist number yet, you’ll need to subscribe to a plan before purchasing and selecting a phone number for your AI receptionist.

Call Handling Options (Connect Logic):

You have these options for handling incoming calls:

  1. Connect the call directly to the AI receptionist
  2. Try a live team member first—if no one answers, the AI receptionist will take over
  3. Follow Mobile APP Settings (coming soon)

         Call Handling Settings:

  • Connect Caller Directly to AI – Calls go straight to your AI receptionist.
  • Live Number First, Then AI If No Answer – The call rings a live number first. If unanswered after a set duration, the AI picks up. You can set the ring duration to 5, 15, 30, 45, or 60 seconds. You can also add up to 10 forwarding numbers to attempt connection before the AI answers.

Pre-Call Recording Announcement:

Would you like Local Business Pro to notify callers that the call is being recorded? Some countries and states require this by law.

  • Our pre-call recording announcement informs callers that the conversation will be recorded.
  • Some local laws may prohibit disabling this feature—we recommend keeping it on.
